How are people handling call transfer with SNOM phones? We are okay with the "#" transfer workaround, but I worry about how that will work with other systems that expect me to be able to "press # to return to the previous menu" or similar. Thanks, --Ernest

Hi, I have just got my SNOM 200 to start doing some real testing with *.. I am trying to use the GSM codec but the quality is really bad, Is that normal? does anyone actually use GSM?? I have a preoblem with my snom 320 phones. I have 5 snom phones installed and all of them have 5.2 firmware. All have same settings in the advanced panel. On 2 phones when I press the hold or transfer key nothing happens and * does not start the musiconhold. In the The hold and transfer keys are set as F_R and F_TRANSFER correctly as the others. Other snoms and gxp-2000 work ok. Any ideas?

She pressed the hold button on the phone and the two calls were joined together. Hi, I've looked through the archives and seen references to placing calls on hold on a snom 200 (any version of the firmware but we have the latest: 2.05e.) Basically, we can't place calls on hold on the snom 200! The manual talks about the Flash button (which is really the "R" button, as far as I can tell.) Pressing the R button will immediately disconnect the incoming call.

Hi List, I cant seem to find the setting that changes this! You put a person on hold, they are on hold like normal, but after a few seconds the phone will then start having dialtone coming from the speakerphone, really weird!! Anyone know how to fix this? I see where it could be nice, but in this case, we just want them on hold is all, no dialtone! Any help would be great! Thanks! Ron

Check the Redirection on the web interface of your Snom 200. If it says "When Busy" that's your problem. It should say "Never".
