Hi, I have more or less decided to do with the SNOM phones for the next stage of testing with Asterisk becasue they seem to be the best value for money and have support for the GSM codec and easy upgrades.. But now I have to decied wheather to get the 100 or 200 and if its the 200 then I need to have some justification for the extra cost.. Can someone who knows these 2 phones tell me what the main differences are?? Just looking at the datasheets they look very much the same.. Looking at the prices they are not.. :) Also tell me which you prefer irrespective of the price.. Thanks. -- ______________________________________________ http://www.linuxmail.org/ Now with e-mail forwarding for only US$5.95/yr Powered by Outblaze
I prefer the 200, mainly because of its more comforable handset. It feels more like a conventional telephone. Most of the 200's configuration is done via the web interface, whereas the 100 has a lot more control via the lcd display. Also, the 200 supports an external headset. If you want to test h323 and sip, then be aware that on the 200 you will need to download an h323 image, whereas on the 100 it's just a case of selecting "H323" from the menu and rebooting. There should only be a pricing difference of around ?20 (or $30). In the UK, we sell the SNOM 100s for ?189 and 200s for ?210. Hi, the Snom200 have a better voice quality, and the Microphone have a better position. The GSM Codes from both Phones didn?t work correctly with Asterisk. With Snom200 you need only one Network port for a PC and a Phone. WMI didn?t work with SNOM200. Nice one!! Does the transfer on the SNOM's work?? (some guys were saying it didn't work..)> > what is WMI ? > > Something that now works on the SNOM 100/200 :) It's the "message waiting > indicator" which tells you if you have voicemail. > > In order to use MWI, be sure to put "mailbox=<foo>" in your "friend" > declaration for it. > > Mark > > _______________________________________________ > Asterisk-Users mailing list > Asterisk-Users@lists.digium.com > http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users-- ______________________________________________ http://www.linuxmail.org/ Now with e-mail forwarding for only US$5.95/yr Powered by Outblaze
