Watch out for this man Bush! He is a professional espionage troll
and hides his agent status behind his condescending facade.
What do you want Randy? Go back to Admiralty way with all your
ICANNite cronies if you're not going to behave here!
Your on notice as of now and you're being watched. Don't try to

Hi
I''m currently setting up a game server and have opened all ports needed to
run it.
What other options do I have regarding protecting the open ports?
I''m worried about people attacking the open ports to render the server useless.
Any help or advice would be appreciated.
Thank you.

Yes, and there?s nothing condescending about this. A student who is too
chicken to try out basic things, be it within dedicated testing environments
or, if need be, otherwise, will not become a goo...

Compiling Samba 3.0.4, err w/ krb5
Hello again,
I'm not attempting an install of Samba 3.0.4 from source. I want to specifically compile in ads and winbindd support. So, I already compiled and installed OpenLDAP 2.2.13.
Now the configure script is hung on krb5 dependancy:
checking for krb5.h... no
configure: error: Active Directory cannot be supported without krb5.h
So I downloaded and attempted compile of krb5 1.3.4, but

to make Windows play nice with an existing open source authentication

clean up the icecast.org webpage to have some recent info, stop calling
icecast1 obsolete when icecast2 is not yet released (not counting alpha
releases)- even if no one is actively working on it- and stop taking an

*If*, however, those in charge of the icecast project aren't really interested
in those things, then perhaps they should either (a) not be a part of Xiph.Org
or (b) get Xiph.Org to change their mission statement. I doubt that's the case,...

Spencer, I find some of your comments/questions on R packages, extremely basic.
(Sorry, if that sounds condescending, but I'm wondering if your
comments/questions would be better R-package-devel?).
You need to look at the imports and depends fields.
(As stated in my previous post).
The *first* package on the Ecfun imports list, is fda, which is *your*
package (technically, contributor), and it has a depe...

Thanks

running sshd under AIX 4.3.3 ?
Hi,
If anyone has managed to get sshd to run as a subsystem in the System
Resource Controller under AIX 4.3.3 (a la mkssys), then please let me know
how you did it...
I can mkssys and startsrc it, but it dies immediately, leaving a child sshd
running with another PID than startsrc reported, and lssrc reports sshd
inoperative.
Is sshd a process that should stay in foreground, not forking? Or does

In a word: No. R is ``not like other packages'' which spew out
enormous printouts including every statistic known to man and a few
known only to woman. R basically gives you what you ask for, and
assumes you know enough to know what to ask for. It does not
condescendingly make decisions for you and hand-cuff you into doing a
standard analysis.
It also allows infinitely versatile customization with consumate
ease since it is a beautifully designed programming language. It
would be ***VERY*** easy to write a wrapper for glm() to include

How much SWAP Space.
Hi,
I have loaded CentOS 5.6 on HP DL 180G6 2U Rack Server and the
physical RAM is 32 GB. As per
http://www.centos.org/docs/5/html/Deployment_Guide-en-US/ch-swapspace.html
It says it should be 1 x of Physical RAM or less. Not sure about the
"less" word in deciding swap space size
Please suggest/guide further on what all parameters i should decide to
set swap space.
