Update to my post below:
I've noticed the following in /var/log/samba/winbindd file when I attempt
to create a file in the directory (via Windows):
>>> [2006/10/10 12:08:52, 1]
nsswitch/winbindd_ads.c:query_user_list(218)>>> Not a user account? atype=0x30000000
I'm puzzled by the above error, because I can READ the file, so I must be
getting mapped to a user account during READ operations.
Any clues? Thanks.

Can anyone help me to figure out why I can not write to a share? I was able
to join the domain without a problem, and I can read the share from an xp box.
I just cannot write to it: "Access denied".
thanks
