bwinfo -u works getent passwd doesn't
Hi,
I have Samba 3.0.21b running on Solaris 10 with ADS authentication.
I get the following in log.winbindd when I do "getent passwd" but wbinfo -u
lists all the users.
Does anyone know why and how to fix it?

unreachable trusted domains in enterprise environment
Hi All
We have quite a complex enterprise environment which includes a global
domain and lots of little asteroid domains all trusted by the central
domain. We have (imaginatively) called this central domain ENTERPRISE.
I have configured samba to be an ADS member server successfully, but due
to our network design many of the asteroid domains's DC's are
uncontactable from our regional

problem with winbind
Hi,
Since 1 month, I tried without any success to configure Samba.
My problem is that winbind crashes when I list users and groups. And I
think that it is linked to my trusted domains (wbinfo -domain=myADdomain
-u works well).
The error is the following :

getent passwd not adding users
...wbinfo -u and wbinfo-g work well, returning a list of users and groups.
However, when I issue 'getent passwd' my winbind log
(/var/log/samba/winbindd.log) shows a long list of the following and no
users are added to the passwd db;

AD Domain member - getent passwd truncated to only 18 users

dependencies according to wiki and no errors. I get all users on 'wbinfo
-u' but 'getent passwd' returns exactly 18 users only.
I run '/usr/sbin/winbindd -F -S -i --no-process-group -d 4', asked for
'getent passwd', got only those 18 users and I have "ads query_user_list
gave 235 entries" on winbindd output, which matches 'wbinfo -u | wc -l'.
Asking 'id someuser' not listed on getent fails, 'id'ing one of those 18
users works fine.
I have no idea what to check next, appreciate any help or hint. I added
winbind enum options and pass...
