[Samba] Synchronize /etc/passwd (for examle in a RedHat) with smbpasswd
Hello, I'm looking for a way, to synchronize the linux/unix passwd file with the smbpasswd file. The best would be if passwd triggers also smbpasswd, or something like a daemon who synchronize them periodical. I've allready checked around the whole net, but there seems nothing to be there, that helps? Did anywone of you have a good tip for me? tnx dude

Yes. :) unix passwd sync Check smb.conf manpage. But I'm afraid it will not solve the entire problem and AFAIK, there is no way of sync from UNIX to SAMBA (I remember some webmails using different tools to do the job, but I don't know if there is a PAM module to do that or something in that sense).> tnx > dudeKind regards, - -- Felipe Augusto van de Wiel <felipe@paranacidade.org.br> Coordenadoria de Tecnologia da Informa??o (CTI) - SEDU/PARANACIDADE http://www.paranacidade.org.br/ Phone: (+55 41 3350 3300) -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.5 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Debian - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFE9FdjCj65ZxU4gPQRAgqmAJ0Sx16ddDoEuFvKkJzbwNnDsUWgmgCdEF8V 9Gv7w698K5jEpcoMcQ4Ixiw=xZju -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
