Not same size after sync?
...an131:root) # du -ks /pkgpool 6187393 /pkgpool (svsan131:root) # (svsan133:root) # du -ks /pkgpool 6187403 /pkgpool (svsan133:root) # I can't find the difference, every file has on both systems the same size, I'didn't found any hidden files (rsync archive?) or something like that. Has anywone an idee, why there is a difference of 10 kilobytes? Thanks. Best regards Philippe Zenhaeusern OLU SW Deployment SOMA Engineering

Synchronize /etc/passwd (for examle in a RedHat) with smbpasswd
...ooking for a way, to synchronize the linux/unix passwd file with the smbpasswd file. The best would be if passwd triggers also smbpasswd, or something like a daemon who synchronize them periodical. I've allready checked around the whole net, but there seems nothing to be there, that helps? Did anywone of you have a good tip for me? tnx dude

Does anywone have information on what mode works best with 64-bit linux? 2) These hosts are already running ntpd, but it doesn''t seem to be working. Are there particular settings I can use or is there a problem with certain versions of ntpd that will prevent it from working correctly in HVM virtua...

Rails Deployment Book
I''ve been mulling over an idea for a book covering Ruby on Rails application deployment. Obvious topics include using Mongrel by itself and with Apache/Lighttpd, load balancers, memcached, and Capistrano. What other topics would you like to see covered in such a book?
