If you can print from both Linux and Samba you basically have a working
CUPS and Samba. This sounds like a CUPS question to me: did you try
asking in a CUPS list? I'd also suggest you try to get this working in
a Linux-only situation first: it should then work from Samba too.
You might try keeping the printer queue disabled and see if enabling the
queue will do what you want.
