I have installed a samba share for an Epson FX-85 printer. The smb.conf file is shwon below: # from 127.0.0.1 (127.0.0.1) # Date: 2004/04/19 17:05:12 # Global parameters [global] workgroup = PENGUINIX interfaces = eth0, lo bind interfaces only = Yes password server = clyde guest account = guest log level = 1 log file = /var/log/samba/log.%m max log size = 1000 timestamp logs = No wins support = Yes ldap ssl = no hosts allow = 192.168.2. [fx_85] comment = Epson FX-85 path = /var/spool/samba printer admin = administrator, joec printable = Yes When I log in, I can find the printer (listed as fx_85 in the printcap file). I can open the printer from the W2K side of things and install the required printer driver. When I go to submit a test page, nothing is spooled to the print queue on the server. No job is spooled to the document queue on the Windows platform. And I get the follwing errors in the log.<windows_client> log file: Apr 19 17:06:00 clyde smbd[2959]: badmonkey (192.168.2.101) couldn't find service ::{2227a280-3aea-1069-a2de-08002b30309d} Any suggestions? -- #----------------------------------------------------------# # "Don't fear the penguin!" # #----------------------------------------------------------# # Registered Linux user: #309247 http://counter.li.org # #----------------------------------------------------------#
