Okay.. this is REALLY starting to p*** me off here! Attached is my smb.conf file: # Samba config file created using SWAT # from 127.0.0.1 (127.0.0.1) # Date: 2003/11/21 18:09:25 # Global parameters [global] workgroup = PENGUINIX guest account = guest wins support = Yes [joec] comment = Personal network share path = /home/joec/smb_share read only = No [peggyc] comment = Personal network share path = /home/peggyc/smb_share read only = No [printer1] path = /var/spool/lp1 hosts allow = 192.168.2.101 min print space = 2000 printable = Yes printing = bsd print command = /usr/bin/lpr -P%p -r %s I can see my (printer/disk) shares on linux land and from w2k land. When I go to my w2k box, I can see the printer (printer1), and I have the correct printer drivers installed. When I double click on the icon to try a test page, I get the following error: "printer1 on Clyde Access Denied, unable to connect" When I attmept to test through smbclient, I get: smb: \> print quay.txt Error opening local file quay.txt The previous fix sent to me to check the Adobe drivers had no effect. This is simply an access/permissions issue. I am using BSD as my printer spool mechanism. Any suggestions?
