-----Original Message----- From: Davenport, Tom Sent: Wednesday, September 11, 2002 3:04 PM To: 'Javid Abdul-AJAVID1' Subject: RE: [Samba] Problems with new users since upgrade to Samba 2.2.5 I create an NT user acct then I go the UNIX box and create a UNIX acct. I have matched the acct settings for the new users to the old users on both sides. I should mention that the problem is with only these users NOT the machines. I can log in administratively on their PC's and access my UNIX server fine but if they logon they can not access it. -----Original Message----- From: Javid Abdul-AJAVID1 [mailto:AJAVID1@motorola.com] Sent: Wednesday, September 11, 2002 3:04 PM To: 'Tom Davenport'; samba@lists.samba.org Subject: RE: [Samba] Problems with new users since upgrade to Samba 2.2.5 where are you creating these new users, unix side or nt side because u need a unix acct to access -----Original Message----- From: Tom Davenport [mailto:tom.davenport@fishersci.com] Sent: Wednesday, September 11, 2002 12:24 PM To: samba@lists.samba.org Subject: [Samba] Problems with new users since upgrade to Samba 2.2.5 Please bear with me since I am new to the world of Samba. We are currently running an NT Domain with an NT Server doing authentications. After an upgrade to Samba 2.2.5 any new users created can not access the the UNIX server behind Samba. pre existing user created prior to the upgrade are seen fine but new users try to access the server and are greeted by a login screen that no login info will allow you past. If anyone has seen this problem and solved it please let me know. This situation is quickly becomming critical.
