Hi all. I would like to print from a Linux Server to a printer connected to a Windows ME machine. I'm able to connect via smbclient, with smbclient //windowsme/printer -U '' -N and I receive the smb> prompt Now, when I try to print any file, nothing comes out from the printer. The printer is a Canon LBP-810 which, according to www.linuxprinting.org site, is a WinPrinter. My question is: is it possible to have that printer running in the configuration I mentioned or not? Thank you all in advance. Marco -- Marco Bizzarri - Amministratore Delegato - Icube S.r.l. I assume you got a messages saying the job was sent on your screen. You will have to figure out how to filter your print jobs before they go to the printer attached to your windows box. Their web site appears to be down right now, but, if you can't get a driver, I think you are stuck. Can you print natively from Linux to it? If so, you can also send the job to it if it hangs off a Windows box.... If not -- no!
