Can someone please help me with this problem? I've had this post on for a long time with no luck. I've managed to print to my HPDeskjet 694c attached to a Solaris 8 box running samba 2.2.2 from Win98. Problem is with the left margine, there are these little lines (garbage) running down the 1st collumn on the left side of the page. Also, when I print a page from Word 97, the whole page doesn't print (about 95% of it) and starts a little too far down the page. Printing was perfect with Samba 2.0.7 so it did work before. Can someone help me? ps: I created the printer deskjet on solaris as follows: lpadmin -p deskjet -I Simple,ESC enable deskjet accept deskjet Thanks a lot. # Samba config file created using SWAT # from gary (192.168.0.4) # Date: 2001/12/06 11:00:24 # Samba config file created using SWAT # from gary (192.168.0.4) # Date: 2001/12/06 11:00:24 # Global parameters [global] workgroup = VANCOUVER interfaces = iprb1 bind interfaces only = Yes encrypt passwords = Yes update encrypted = Yes unix password sync = Yes local master = No printer admin = @gary hosts allow = melody gary linuxbox sunbox printing = bsd print command = lp -o nobanner -c -d%p %s; rm %s [root] comment = Root path = / [Pron] comment = Private path = /var/pron [sun-printer] path = /tmp printer admin = gary guest ok = Yes printable = Yes printer name = deskjet printer driver file Gary Ferrer gary@ferrer.yi.org -------------- next part -------------- HTML attachment scrubbed and removed
