snom 200 - custom melody
Has anyone used this feature successfully? I 'think' I have a .wav file
that it wants.
Here is what 'file' says:
sf-george.wav: RIFF (little-endian) data, WAVE audio, Microsoft PCM, 16
bit, mono 8000 Hz
I see the logs on my web server as it tries to access it, but all I get
is a screech out of the phone.

Signaling incoming call
...icular-
Hi Steve!
Thank you very much!
It seems to run!
I wrote that:
exten => _00493513333333,n,Set(__ALERT_INFO=Bellcore-r3)
exten => _00493513333333,n,SIPAddHeader("Alert-Info:<http://www.notused.com>\;info=alert-external\;x-line-id=0")
and the phone rings with another melody.
Very curious is, that if I don't write BOTH lines, it does not run...
And, unfortunately, I just have two melody: the "normal" and this one, but it
is better than nothing!
Now, if it will be possible to add a text on the display, it will be perfect,
but I didn't found any option...

Icecast not listening ports?
...n't access it with my domain URL, I have Shoutcast setup on
this server on different ports and they are accessible via browser.
If I use lynx on the server, it loads the web interface...
lynx http://localhost:8008
When I access it on my computer, safari says I cannot connect on the domain
eg: melody.domain.com:8004 (domain.com being example domain)
Netstat doesn't seem to show icecast listening on the 8008 and 8009 ports
either...
Anything I missed?
Cheers!

Signaling incoming call
Hi list!
Finally I got my Asterisk works with my two phones...
It was a problem on my Firewall (for the phone of my wife) and on my Dialplan
(for forwarding calls).
Now all works as expected, at least in the simulation I did with AsteriskNOW.
Hopefully it will work later, when Deutsche Telekom changes my ISDN to VoIP...
Well, now I have some time to spend with "fooling"...

IAX encrytion
What encryption features are available to encrypt the IAX2 traffic between
two asterisk servers. I have read that there is some encryption possible but
has anyone been able to encrypt the entire payload of IAX traffic between
two
asterisk servers.

Problem with japanese programs
...(a japanese painting program aimed mainly for RPG Maker and the like).
Now on Windows, it used the default system font, but when I run it under Wine it uses an ugly handwriting font.
Is there a way to fix this problem?
It also happens with several programs which were originally in japanese (such as Melody Raiser [from the same author] and PSX Multi Converter [A program to play music videos and view images from Playstation CDs]).

asterisk in india
Does anyone know if the E1 cards that digium sells work in India. Also are
there any distributers for those cards in India. By E1 cards I mean E100P,
TE410P or TE405P

graphically accessing pv guest
Hi all,
I''m trying to expand the screen resolution of my guest when using vnc. It
appears I need to use the extra variable in my guest config file and xenfb.
I pass it in like this:
extra = ''xenfb.video=8,1024,768''
I can see this being passed to the kernel when it boots but it doesn''t
change the vnc screen resolution. I also see this when I type ps -ef |

Nested functions
Hi there,
I'm having myself a hard time writing an algorithm for finding patterns
within a given melody. In a vector I'd like to find ALL sequences that
occur at least twice, without having to check all possible patterns via
pattern matching.
I finally found a solution in a style that I'm used from C, i.e. calling
one function from within another. GNU R doesn't seem to like that, it

Icecast not listening ports?
...<port>8008</port>
<bind-address>127.0.0.1</bind-address>
</listen-socket>
Yep... set at 8008, netstat doesn't show that it's actually listening to
those ports I don't think... don't see *:8008 and *:8009
You're right about the melody.domain.com:8004 part, typo, should be 8008
(oops!)
Installed via 'yum install icecast' on CentOS... weird?
