Problem with rpcclient and installing PS-Driver
...program did'nt work at all. I the upgraded to samba 2.2.7 and tried to install all the drivers by hand using rpcclient. Now I've got 2 problems: First one is that I cannot deinstall the various drivers from the servers list. When I do a 'rpcclient -U root localhost -c "deldriver HPDeskjet"' I get the following Output: | cmd = deldriver HPDeskjet | Failed to remove driver HPDeskjet for arch [Windows 4.0] - error 0xbb9! | Failed to remove driver HPDeskjet for arch [Windows NT x86] - error | 0xbb9! But the driver is in the list: | cmd = enumdrivers | | [Windows 4.0] | Printe...

No print to Samba (Linux) printer from Win98 - SOLVED.
I now have the deskjet print printing from my Win98 box. Something in the "hpdeskjet" entry was causing the error of "No machine name found" to appear when I tried to print from Win98. I fixed this by deleting the entry and re-creating it. I also specifically added allowed IP addresses instead of using "all" in the config file. I created a generic text pr...

almost printing
Ok, I've managed to print to my HPDeskjet 694c attached to a Solaris 8 box running samba 2.2.2 from Win98. Problem is with the left margin, there are these little lines (garbage) running down the 1st column on the left side of the page. Also, when I print a page from Word 97, the whole page doesn't print (about 95% of it) and starts...
