rsync - Jan 2008 - TERM: Undefined variable.

Why am I getting this message from the following command:

/usr/bin/rsync -aq -e ssh --delete /home/user/ user@jimmy:/home/user

Check your shell's login and rc files and fix whatever is complaining.
You can test with a command such as:

ssh -l user jimmy true

and ensure that doesn't output anything.  And check that this outputs
the version info:

ssh -l user jimmy rsync --version
