Rails - Mar 2008 - Creating language package ??

Hello RoR Developers,

I want to create English, Spanish, Japanese, Russian languages version
of my rails application. What kind of way recommend me ? how can I
create it ? what would you do if you were me?

I have no experience in this area, but it seems that the globalize
plugin might be what you''re looking for.

what is it exactly? do you have any document or information?
in fact I prepared the documentation, I mean the characters in 
application, I translated all.
I couldn t decide how to create it, how to start, which way is the best, 
no idea..

Actually I heard about .po files, Ruby-GetText.
it s very suitable for my situation. if you have any information or
