Rails - Jun 2007 - how to setup POI for ruby?

Hi,

I need to read in some data from an excel file. After spending a while
looking around, POI for ruby looks like the best solution. However, it
misses support documents for newBs like me. I wonder if anyone here
has done that before and wants to share a little bit of the
information. Please help.
