Looks as if there''s a DNS problem at my ISP - there''s an
"Email bounce"
page on Google Groups showing relevant info.
Strange - the confirmation email for setting up the Google Groups
account came through OK.
Ha! Email just came through from Google telling me about the problem,
with a link for reactivating mail delivery.
Apologies for blaming Google when it appears the problem was with my ISP.
