I've had the same issue. Must not be many subscribers or they've moved on to some other list. I switched to the linux Shoutcast for my server (much more reliable) and am looking for a replacement for ices that reliably re-encodes VBR. Let me know if you find anything. BTW...maybe if you posted your config files for ices and icecast i could compare it with mine (or my old one for

javascript flash messages gem?
Does anybody knows a gem for managing flash messages? I would want to add messages to the flash div in the client. Small vorbis files with vorbisfile
I think I have bumped into the small file error, or I''m doing something stupid. The files are short audio effects for a game (embedded in our own data format). Sample info: Vorbis packets: 1 (4 kb) Samples: 28672 Samplerate: 22 kHz Channels: 2 This is what I''m doing when I want to get a number of bytes from the stream: The problem is that ov_pcm_tell always returns 0. And so

another Icecast2/Vorbis stream on-line
Greetings: Another test. I've re-encoded a batch of mono 22050 Hz WAVs, average bitrate seems to hang around 30-40 kbps. Icecast.xml is set for three connects, and the URL is here: http://64.108.112.145:8000/shouter.ogg IMO, the sound quality is much better now. Again, the stream should be up for about 45 minutes or so. Please let me know how it works for you... Best regards,

Re [ogg]
Please read the documentation. I understand that you're a newbie, and that you need help, but believe me, people write documentation for a reason, and there's all sorts of good information in there. erik frederiksen <p><p>On Tue, 2002-11-12 at 10:42, Raymond wrote: > Ok the link works.
