Rails - Mar 2006 - Know how many objects are created in ruby/rails???

Hi, 

we have a application with a lot of object creation
and destruction and a lot of calculation write, And we
want to find out, we wish to know how much memory is
used and how many ruby object are created. Does anyone
know how to do this, or where can I get the
documentation about this???
