Hi, I followed the tutorial about installing RoR on a Pair Networks'' Host. Everything seem to work but the application lives few seconds (checked in browser, it works ) and then the process is killed. Another thing, every time I connect to the host through SSH I have to type setenv GEM_PATH ~/lib/ruby/gems/1.8 (freeBSD) Otherwise it doesn''t find Ruby, is there a way to avoid it? Can someone help me, please? Thank you in advance Mik -- Posted via http://www.ruby-forum.com/.

Mik, > no one? :) If you don''t get any answer after today, I''d suggest you repost your question, IN A NEW THREAD, with a another subject. I remember someone mentioning Pair as a good hoster, so you could try : "hosting with Pair : Rails'' app dies after a few seconds" Alain

Ruby killed after a few seconds doesn''t help me help you much. What platform are you on? What are you trying to run when it quits ? How are you invoking ruby? A little more info and I suspect you will get more help. Cheers- -Ezra Zygmuntowicz WebMaster Yakima Herald-Republic Newspaper ezra@yakima-herald.com 509-577-7732
