Ruby on Rails Presentation to Agile Atlanta Group tonight...
Hi everyone, We had a really successful meeting tonight in Atlanta. The topic was an introduction to Ruby on Rails and our attendance was 30 people, which is over double of what we normally get. (Our attendance has dropped since moving the venue about 25 miles north of the city. The majority of the group stayed well past two hours, at which point we took a break. The entire presentation and subsequent discussion lasted 3 hours altogether. There is lots of excitement about Ruby breaking into the mainstream via Rails. My presentation covered Ruby basics and then delved into coverage of the Rails APIs and programming goals. I complemented the presentation with actual Rails coding, following the Todo list tutorial posted on the RoR site, and demonstrating the scripts and console. My powerpoint is 869k, so I won''t attach it here, but if anyone wants a copy just drop me an email and I''d be happy to send it to you. Obie Fernandez ThoughtWorks Technologist Atlanta, GA
