R help - Apr 2012 - Dot plot cex

Dear R'ers,

I was not able to change the font size of axis label using cex.   Tried R
archive solutions, though not solved yet.


My code is:

print(dotplot(ss ~ Response | bb*sr*tr, pp, pch = 21,
              strip = FALSE, strip.left = TRUE,layout = c(3,8), 
              scales = list(y = list(relation = "free")), cex.axis=.2,
cex.label=.2,
                      ylab = "Subject", type = c("p",
"a"),
              xlab = "Response to Light", jitter.y = TRUE))
dev.off()

see par.setting in ?xyplot
or

trellis.par.get() # beware it is verbose
or for starters
names(trellis.par.get() )

eg
par.settings = list(axis.text = list(cex = 0.75),
   par.xlab.text = list(cex = 0.85),
   par.ylab.text = list(cex = 0.85)),
