R help - Nov 2010 - latex tables with quantreg

Hi all,

I'm using the quantreg package to run some regressions. I'm trying to
save
the output as latex tables using the helpful "latex" command, which
works
fine. However, I've been unable to modify its behavior in some ways I'm
insterested in. For instance, I'd like a table in which I had the asterisks
corresponding to the significance levels of each variable, but I have been
unable to find how to do it. I have checked the documentation but there is
nothing on this issue.

For some other models (lm, glm, lme), I have made some customizations (using
well-formatted p-values, asterisks are a bit outdated and not loved by most
journals). You can download the source from

Check, for example, latex.lm.R
