[R] R Report (was RE: R-help Digest, Vol 90, Issue 25)
I've been following the "R Reports" topic in the digest mode, so apologies if this has already been mentioned. On a Windows platform, there is a package called R2wd which I've recently discovered and have been using. It allows one to put data frames (it's the only object I've tried so far) into a very nicely Word formatted table. E.g in its documentation it has this example: wdGet() wdTitle("The example mtcars") wdTable(format(mtcars)) I've used it to get the summary coefficients table from lm() into Word nicely. Once it is in Word, it is easy to change the format of the table to your "standard" format. This is a very new package but there's certainly lots of potentials in it. Another package that might be useful is the RExcelInstaller, which gives an integration of R and Excel (again, Windows version, I believe). I've used it to call R from Excel directly.
