[R] update.packages() and install.packages() does not work more because of "Error in read.dcf"
Hi, on all my systems update.packages() and install.packages() fails now. I get the following message: root at orca:/root(28)# R R version 2.10.1 (2009-12-14) Copyright (C) 2009 The R Foundation for Statistical Computing ISBN 3-900051-07-0 R is free software and comes with ABSOLUTELY NO WARRANTY. Type 'contributors()' for more information and 'citation()' on how to cite R or R packages in publications. Type 'demo()' for some demos, 'help()' for on-line help, or 'help.start()' for an HTML browser interface to help. Type 'q()' to quit R.> update.packages(checkBuilt=T)--- Please select a CRAN mirror for use in this session --- Loading Tcl/Tk interface ... done Error in read.dcf(file = tmpf) : Line starting 'Li ...' is malformed!> update.packages()Error in read.dcf(file = tmpf) : Line starting 'Li ...' is malformed!> install.packages("e1071")Error in read.dcf(file = tmpf) : Line starting 'Li ...' is malformed! All systems are gentoo systems with R-2.10.1. Also reinstalling of R from sources did not solve the problem. Any hint is appreciated.
