malformed password entry

or do a "find computer". There are times when this does not work. I take
a look at the logs ($SAMBA/var/log.machine_name) and see many entries
containing the following error:
[2000/04/06 15:12:18, 0] passdb/smbpass.c:getsmbfilepwent(164)
getsmbfilepwent: malformed password entry (no :)
By the time I walk over to the users workstation, the problem resolves
itself. I have the smb.conf file pointing to our PDC for password
authentication:
encrypt passwords = yes
password server = 198.3.200.36
Can someone help?

Highlight method creates malformed characters.
Hello list,
I''ve just updated to 0.11.3 and I came upon this problem.
When using the highlight function in a rails application I sometimes
get the error "Malformed UTF-8 character."
It is just on certain documents and if I change the excerpt length
the error disappears so it feels that if the highlight method cuts
the text at the wrong character the function returns a string with
malformed characters.

Dovecot crashes with malformed Qpopper's mbox
I am testing migration from Qpopper 4.0.5 and have come across a problem.
Dovecot dies while processing UIDL command when accessing malformed
Qpopper's mbox which has duplicated "From " separator. Qpopper
occasionally makes such header while rewriting mbox.

crazy smbpasswd

configure my smb.conf file, for path = /home/Stealth, the machine would show
up in "Computers Near Me" on my other windoez 2000 machine, but would not

I'm using samba 3.0.4, rpmsource from samba.org rebuilt with posix acls support. Samba is linked with an openldap-2.0.27.
All of this on redhat ES 3 :/

svg malformed on CentOS (epel R)
There is an issue with the default svg device on a centos workstation that I
am using. It does not result in an error, but it produces malformed svg
images. Exactly the same script works just fine on an ubuntu box. On Ubuntu

With samba 3 (3.0.2-6.3E is the rpm version), I've been seeing activity
that wasn't present before.
Every 15 minutes (within a few seconds accuracy), I receive an alert
from our SonicWall (firewall appliance) reporting that a "Malformed IP
packet dropped." where the source was the upgraded server, and the
destination was the subnet (x.y.z.255). Src & Dest port was 137.
So what is smbd or nmbd (or maybe winbindd) transmitting every 15
minutes ?

I've the following in the logs and am wondering why they are there.
I also keep getting emails from SAMBA log-deamon (or something like that).

Callmanager 4 Asterisk Malformed/Missing URL

The connection seem to be there. When I do a "sip show peers" on the Asterisk server?I see the Callmanager as Monitored and online however I can't get any calls to pass from the CM to the Asterisk. If I debug the SIP I get a regular "SIP/2.0 400 Bad Request - 'Malformed/Missing URL'" which is from the Callmanager.
Can anybody tell me the cause of this message and/or how I can resolve the problem ?

malformed plot symbols in lattice pdf
Hi,
I'm using panel.polygon inside a custom panel function to generate
filled polygons for an xyplot. Everything is as expected until I
specify a value < 1 for alpha to fill with a semi-transparent color
and output to pdf. The plot symbols appear malformed. Am I doing
something wrong here?
