You can use also xlim and ylim, from the help page:
" ...: arguments to be passed to or from methods."
pairs(iris[1:4], main = "Anderson's Iris Data -- 3 species",
pch = 21, bg = c("red", "green3",
"blue")[unclass(iris$Species)])
pairs(iris[1:4], main = "Anderson's Iris Data -- 3 species",
pch = 21, bg = c("red", "green3",
"blue")[unclass(iris$Species)],
xlim = c(0,10), ylim = c(0,10))
