I'm using GCC 3.4.2 to build R-2.0.1 from sources downloaded from the University of Bristol mirror. bash-2.05$./configure <SNIP> R is now configured for sparc-sun-solaris2.9 Source directory: . This may be a permissions issue as I installed a previous version of R as root. However this required some gymnastics as $PATH cannot be altered for root. Do I have a correct version of GCC for my version of Solaris? Any help gratefully apreciated. Phineas Campbell
