[Rd] Data viewer window not drawn properly with Compiz (PR#14099)
Full_Name: Ulrich Keller Version: 2.10.0 OS: Ubuntu Karmic i386 Submission from: (NULL) (158.64.77.254) When Compiz is switched on in Ubuntu Karmic R's data editor is unusable. The window contents are garbled from the start, and when scrolling through the data using the arrow keys the contents of the editor window are not redrawn properly. I have verified that the problem exists on two different machines with different video hardware (Intel and ATI). This might be an Ubuntu-specific problem (but I doubt it). I can't test this since I don't have any non-Ubuntu machines. Steps to reproduce: 1. Make sure Compiz is enabled. 2. Start R 3. Type: View(matrix(rnorm(100), ncol = 5)) 4. In the editor window that appears, use the arrow keys to scroll around. Notice how the contents of the window get increasingly garbled. I have already posted an Ubuntu bug report on Launchpad here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/r-base/+bug/472408 The Ubuntu bug report contains a screenshot of the broken editor window. --please do not edit the information below-- Version: platform = i486-pc-linux-gnu arch = i486 os = linux-gnu system = i486, linux-gnu status = major = 2 minor = 10.0 year = 2009 month = 10 day = 26 svn rev = 50208 language = R version.string = R version 2.10.0 (2009-10-26) Locale: LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8;LC_NUMERIC=C;LC_TIME=en_US.UTF-8;LC_COLLATE=en_US.UTF-8;LC_MONETARY=C;LC_MESSAGES=en_US.UTF-8;LC_PAPER=en_GB.UTF-8;LC_NAME=C;LC_ADDRESS=C;LC_TELEPHONE=C;LC_MEASUREMENT=en_US.UTF-8;LC_IDENTIFICATION=C Search Path: .GlobalEnv, package:stats, package:graphics, package:grDevices, package:utils, package:datasets, package:methods, Autoloads, package:base
