Asterisk 1.2, Fedora Core 4: When I leave a voicemail message, it writes the necessary files to the INBOX: msg0000.gsm msg0000.txt msg0000.wav msg0000.WAV When I hang up, the files are erased. There is no indication of anything untoward in the logs: -- x=0, open writing: [...]/INBOX/msg0000 format: wav49, 0x99ce778 -- x=1, open writing: [...]/INBOX/msg0000 format: gsm, 0x99bed98 -- x=2, open writing: [...]/INBOX/msg0000 format: wav, 0x99cf5f0 -- User hung up -- Hungup 'IAX2/phil-4' Is it possible that Asterisk is attempting to move them someplace that doesn't exist? Thanks as always for any insights you might provide.
Never mind. The system was configured to delete the messages once they have been emailed. Sorry. I over the last 2 weeks have had voicemail start to disappear from the system. The symptoms work something like this: The user logs into Comedian Mail, and checks how many messages they have. They then opt to call back in later to check the messages, but when they do so the messages are gone, with either no messages in the box, or messages in the box having been added since the voicemail was last checked. This is occurring with Asterisk 1.2.10, and I will be updating the system to 1.2.12.1 after business hours. Has anyone seen this issue before, and if so what is the resolution? Andrew

There is no voicemail in the old folder, I've manually inspected the folders where this is occurring via 'ls'. The mail is in fact gone.
