[Asterisk-Users] Maintenance Contract for a Cisco 7960 phone
Hi, I have followed the thread on where to get a maintenance contract so that I can upgrade the firmware to a SIP version and have called two different places, CDW and Insight. Neither place will sell the contact, all I get is a B.S. excuse to why they can't. Has anyone had luck with a more friendly place or do they have the images? TIA, Trevor

[Asterisk-Users] Maintenance Contract for a Cisco 7960 phone
Trevor, Technically, the only contract you can get on a piece of equipment that is used, is the Cisco Smartnet (IIRC). The normal service contracts require the phone to be re-certified. This is because of the way Cisco operates, unfortunately. Also, each image you have on your phone requires a license for use. SIP, MGCP, SCCP, all require per-phone licenses to use legally. -twisted Trevor Morrison wrote:>Hi, > >I have followed the thread on where to get a maintenance contract so that I >can upgrade the firmware to a SIP version and have called two different >places, CDW and Insight.
