Hello, Does anyone know how to conference a call on the SNOM 200 phone? Whenever I push the cnf/tran button it just hangs up on the active call. The manual says you have to push the cnf function key but it doesn't appear in the lcd on my phone. Thanks -Matt -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Use the SOFT key that shows up on the LCD that says "Cnf On". I.E. put the first party on hold, call the second party, and after they answer the "Cnf On" button will appear in the LCD. Or, you can just Xfer both parties to a MeetMe and call into it yourself. I do this a lot. -- Vice President of N2Net, a New Age Consulting Service, Inc. Hi, I have a Snom 200 and also cannot get the conferencing to work. Transfering isn't a problem, including attended xfr. Sven could you expand on what you mean by "Don't use low rate codecs !" I have tried u-law and G792a and neither appear to make any difference. Also I am currently running Snom build snom200-2.04g-SIP.bin as when I tried the latest 3.xx beta build I found that the MWI (voicemail) button would stay on no matter if all the voicemails had been deleted. Was wondering if you have the same issue? Regards, Sven Dear Friends of Ubiquity Software: As you may have noticed, Ubiquity Software began using the web domain ubiquity.com earlier this year in addition to the previously established ubiquity.net for our website and email communications to you. However, since that time, a dispute has emerged with respect to actual ownership of the ubiquity.com domain. As an international software company founded over decade ago, you can always reach Ubiquity Software under the website www.ubiquity.net <http://www.ubiquity.net/> and via email at @ubiquity.net. However, we have also chosen to expand our domain to the more specific www.ubiquitysoftware.com <http://www.ubiquitysoftware.com/> for web and @ubiquitysoftware.com for email communications. Update: I have installed the firmware you suggested (http://www.snom.com/download/share/snom200-3.49-SIP.bin). The MWI appears to be fixed in this build so I will be sticking with that, thanks for that. However still no joy on the conferencing front. I have looked at the Snom 200 user guide but when I have someone on hold and another person active the soft button says "HeadRJ" and not "Conf. On" as it mentions in the user guide. I am only able to try this with a Pingtel hardphone and a Optipoint 400 as I don't have any other SIP phones on my desk at the moment. Could this have something to do with the other phones not being Snom ???? Any hints or advice would be greatly appreciated. Has always said "MWI" on the middle soft button when there was new voice mail waiting. What firmware are you using? BTW that firmware has also fixed the MWI button going straight to the correct mailbox (doesn't reqire the user to enter the mailbox number). Need the following in your extensions.conf (do not change the "asterisk" bit as that is hardcoded in the Snom phone, I believe): exten => asterisk,1,VoiceMailMain(${CALLERIDNUM}) -----Original Message----- From: steve szmidt [mailto:steve@szmidt.org] Sent: 01 October 2004 11:29 To: Asterisk Users Mailing List - Non-Commercial Discussion Subject: Re: [Asterisk-Users] SNOM 200 can't conference. Thanks a lot for the help Sven. I added: disallow=all allow=ulaw to the Pingtel and Optipoint 400 sip peers. And bingo the conference button appeared as if by magic. Please pass on my congrats on a cracking phone. Its way out in front of the other SIP phones I tested (considering price to performance) and is looking good for all my future roll-outs.
