Hi all, I got a couple of Snom 190's through this week and after some initial foolishness I have them both setup no problems. But here comes the except. When there is voicemail waiting the softbutton appears but the phone always dials its own extension. No matter what I put into the "mailbox" parameter on the line settings. (Phone registers correctly with * and all standard functions seem ok). The Snom 200 I have dials "sip:asterisk@asterisk_IP" which I have an extension setup for and works like a charm. Can anyone with a 190 tell me if they also experience this problem and whether its something that needs fixing on the phone side or something I can handle on the Asterisk config side. thanks for any help Alex Dear Friends of Ubiquity Software: As you may have noticed, Ubiquity Software began using the web domain ubiquity.com earlier this year in addition to the previously established ubiquity.net for our website and email communications to you. However, since that time, a dispute has emerged with respect to actual ownership of the ubiquity.com domain. As an international software company founded over decade ago, you can always reach Ubiquity Software under the website www.ubiquity.net <http://www.ubiquity.net/> and via email at @ubiquity.net. However, we have also chosen to expand our domain to the more specific www.ubiquitysoftware.com <http://www.ubiquitysoftware.com/> for web and @ubiquitysoftware.com for email communications. Please use either the historical ubiquity.net or begin to use the new ubiquitysoftware.com domain for all email communications to Ubiquity employees from now on. Thank you. yeah thats what I added to get the Snom 200 to work properly. exten => asterisk,1,VoiceMailMain(${CALLERIDNUM}) But I have enabled "sip debug" and can see the INVITE coming in and the Snom 190's don't send "asterisk" they send their own extension number. I only found one archived message that was from someone with the same problem but the message was from February this year and had no reply. cheers alex -----Original Message----- From: David Davies [mailto:asterisk@junk.dnj.nu] Sent: 07 October 2004 12:06 To: 'Asterisk Users Mailing List - Non-Commercial Discussion' Subject: RE: [Asterisk-Users] Vmail & Snom 190s Have you tried adding exten => asterisk,1,VoiceMailMain(s${CALLERIDNUM}) Also make sure in sip.conf the callerid="Your Name" <1234> is set correctly. i.e the <1234> is the users extension. d _____ From: asterisk-users-bounces@lists.digium.com [mailto:asterisk-users-bounces@lists.digium.com] On Behalf Of Alex Barnes Sent: 07 October 2004 11:44 To: asterisk-users@lists.digium.com Subject: [Asterisk-Users] Vmail & Snom 190s Hi all, I got a couple of Snom 190's through this week and after some initial foolishness I have them both setup no problems. All the SIP peers have callerid=<extension number> e.g. callerid=6101 And my mailboxes are setup with the same names. Hence when the Snom 200 goes to voice mail it doesn't ask for the mailbox, only asks for the password. but thanks for the ideas, hopefully we will get there. alex -----Original Message----- From: David Davies [mailto:asterisk@junk.dnj.nu] Sent: 07 October 2004 13:19 To: 'Asterisk Users Mailing List - Non-Commercial Discussion' Subject: RE: [Asterisk-Users] Vmail & Snom 190s So if you set in the callerid="Alex" <asterisk> Does that work ? _____ From: asterisk-users-bounces@lists.digium.com [mailto:asterisk-users-bounces@lists.digium.com] On Behalf Of Alex Barnes Sent: 07 October 2004 12:42 To: Asterisk Users Mailing List - Non-Commercial Discussion Subject: RE: [Asterisk-Users] Vmail & Snom 190s yeah thats what I added to get the Snom 200 to work properly. exten => asterisk,1,VoiceMailMain(${CALLERIDNUM}) But I have enabled "sip debug" and can see the INVITE coming in and the Snom 190's don't send "asterisk" they send their own extension number.
