Xen users - Sep 2009 - How do you add 2 NIC in Xen Guest or domU

Hi,

Can i use 2 or 3 NIC''s in paravirtualized or fully virtualized guest or
domU?

Just extend the VIF configuration:

vif = [ 'mac=00:16:3e:00:01:3c, bridge=eth0',

          ‘mac=00:16:3e:00:01:3d, bridge=eth1’,

          ... ]

 

I did run into a limit at 8 vif interfaces but there are probably ways to get
past that if you needed.

RHEL5''s kernel 2.6.18-128.7.1.el5xen can support 30 vifs.
I''m not sure about xen.org''s or latest pv_ops kernel default
limit
though. If I remember correctly the limit is customizable on pv_ops
kernel.
