[Rails] [ANN] Pin in the Map - "tinyurl for maps" rails app
Hi there, A little while ago we launched Pin in the Map (http://pininthemap.com), a rails application which allows you to easily mark a spot on a map, attach some text to it, and get a simple link to pass around. It''s basically tinyurl for maps. It''s proved useful for organising after-work drinks, meetings, weddings plus a whole variety of other things. http://pininthemap.com. Hope you like it. Please let me know of any suggestions you might have to improve it. Cheers Chris -- <><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><> chris parsons, director eden development www.edendevelopment.co.uk 0845 0097 094 po box 425, winchester, so23 0wy, uk

I like it! It would be nice to have multiple pins, I was looking for something like this when trying to find apartments - all the locations I was driving to would fit on the same map, but I had to have seperate google maps to show the address of each one - Nic. I''d strongly suggest adding "directions to this location" functionality so that when you share the spot, a guest or customer could readily find their way to it. -z On 7/17/06, Nic Werner <nicwerner@gmail.com> wrote:> I like it!
