Rails spinoffs - Jan 2006 - Autocompleter.destroy?

Howdy.

Has anyone looked into implementing an Autocompleter.destroy( element )
similar to Sortable.destroy( element )?

I''ve searched the docs and the mailing list archives, and I''ve
seen a couple
of other people ask, but I haven''t found a solution.
