I am using Macbook OS 10.8.3 with Xcode 4.6.1.This is the wrong list: it should have been R-sig-mac. Please follow up there. It seems you forgot to install gfortran from http://cran.r-project.org/bin/macosx/tools/ . I am surmising from your output that this is 2.15.x: the posting guide asked for 'at a minimum' information and it does matter, especially with binary installation of R (which this appears to be).> ld: warning: directory not found for option '-L/usr/local/lib' > ld: library not found for -lgfortran > collect2: ld returned 1 exit status > make: *** [qtl.so] Error 1 > ERROR: compilation failed for package ??qtl?? > * removing ??/Library/Frameworks/R.framework/Versions/2.15/Resources/library/qtl?? > * restoring previous ??/Library/Frameworks/R.framework/Versions/2.15/Resources/library/qtl?? > > Any comments are appreciated. > > Liu-- Brian D.
