Re-2: [Samba] Samba 3.0.9 doesn't remove printjobs ?
That was a good hint! Yes, I've installed SP2, and it realy seems to be the Problem. Now I've checked that on a machine with SP1 - and the jobs from the same printqueue are removed correctly there! -------- Original Message -------- Subject: Re: [Samba] Samba 3.0.9 doesn't remove printjobs ? The problem was fixed in samba 3.0.9 but reappeared with Gerald's 3.0.9 printing patch (confirmed by reversing the patch and noting that the problem disappeared). Now the funny thing: since about 2 days the problem doesn't arise any more! The only related thing I did on the server was to modify access rights and restart the CUPS server because of authorization problems of some users using the CUPS web frontend (but I don't understand the relationship of these things). So, for me it works by now, but I don't know a general solution! Can you be a little more specific about the "access rights" you changed? Were they CUPS rights or Samba rights? What did you change them to? No one here (except for myself) ever accesses the web front-end for CUPS, we simply use the Windows printer queues. Hey all, Do any of you have an example configureation file for setting up ADS users for administering samba shares? I have a samber server and its part of my ADS and everything works. However i would like for some of my AD users to be administers on the samba share and have yet to figure out how to do that. IF you have an example of how i can go about doing this I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks, R.
