I am running a redhat box connected to a DEC hsz40 scsi controller. Recently I upgraded the machine to Redhat 9 and recompiled the kernel to enable multiple scsi lun support. So far, so good. I can mount the 120gig scsi volume ok. The problem now is the smbd.log is filling up with "Failed to setup RT_SIGNAL_LEASE handler" messages and when a network drive is mapped to the share pointing to this scsi volume (windows or linux connection), the drive shows to be 15 gig with no free space. Samba version 2.2.7a-security-rollup-fix from Redhat. Thanks, Mike Collins Systems Prog TTUHSC
hi, my smbd.log file is full of such messages: ----------------------------- [2003/05/09 09:35:42, 0] smbd/oplock_linux.c:linux_init_kernel_oplocks(287) Failed to setup RT_SIGNAL_LEASE handler [2003/05/09 09:37:27, 0] smbd/oplock_linux.c:linux_init_kernel_oplocks(287) Failed to setup RT_SIGNAL_LEASE handler ----------------------------- on redhat9 with kernel-2.4.20-9 and samba-2.2.7a-8.9.0. it's a real problem or just some kind of debug info? is there any solutions not to get these messages? thanks in advance. -- Levente "Si vis pacem para bellum!" -- To unsubscribe from this list go to the following URL and read the instructions: http://lists.samba.org/mailman/listinfo/samba

Mike, Please would you explain why you think that Samba is a SCSI driver or affected by your SCSI driver? - John T.
