Hi, I am currently putting together a smb server, the client requires a single share where he can add and remove read/write permissions for any user using acl permissions from his win2k machine. I have created a share, made him "admin user" however ---- adding & removing ACL permissions per user is impossible. The error's that I am currently receiving are : error packet at smbd/nttrans.c(86) cmd=160 (SMBnttrans) NT_STATUS_BUFFER_TOO_SMALL [2003/04/07 13:04:27, 9] smbd/nttrans.c:send_nt_replies(220) smb.conf is : [global] netbios name = SAMBASERVER netbios aliases = sambaserver server string = SambaServer security = SHARE encrypt passwords = Yes log level = 100 log file = /var/log/samba/%m.log max log size = 0 protocol = LANMAN1 max protocol = LANMAN1 socket options = TCP_NODELAY SO_RCVBUF=8192 SO_SNDBUF=8192 os level = 33 preferred master = False domain master = False dns proxy = No guest account = pcuser printing = lprng [workinprogress] comment = staff directory path = /var/workinprogress read only = No force create mode = 0777 force directory mode = 0777 force unknown acl user = 0777 mangle case = Yes Any Ideas! .........? --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free.
