samba - Oct 2001 - dumb question about SMB and Squid

is there by any chance a smb modual for squid?  Squid is a proxy/cache
server used on unix systems that gives pretty complete logs, but only lists
clients by IP.

Is there anyway to easily tie this to a netbios name incase your
administrating a windows network and want names associated with places
instead of IP's that can change on a DHCP network?

Deploy dynamic DNS.  This is the preferred option for network stability,
combined with nmbd's 'dns proxy' option, and allows any machine on
the
network to do full forward and reverse name resolution.
