How to add System V Filesystem to Centos?

Then I should be able to use
# mount -t sysv /dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy
I have found in the .config file under misc filesystems that I can turn
on sysv filesytem. I am not sure what to do after that. Is it better to
make it a module or to compileit into the kernel?

If I go the modual way where do I find the modual? I would use modprobe
to install it right?
What commands do you run to recompile the kernel? Do I run
make menuconfig?
I have been reading alot but not finding what I need. I have a fresh
install off Centos 4.2 just for this...

Problem installing mkcdrec
Hi,
I am tring to install mkcdrec on centos 4.2. ( makes a bootable backup
image of linux)
I am using an rpm that I found for FC4 but it won't install it says that
I am missing a package.
perl(are) required by mkcdrec, v0.9.1, 1
I have check using yum and I have perl installed + lots of moduals.
No matter what I try I can't get around it.
Anyone have any suggestions.

Update on Using Dovecot with Webmin
...default -- and PAM = the default - I only had to setup the PAM if I
remember correctly.
Loaded Dovecot 1.0, made sure user, folders and files all seem to be setup
correctly.
Now - Webmin is able to stop and start Dovecot and it loads fine on reboot.
But, it is pretty obvious that the Webmin modual is not up with then new and
much more powerful Dovecot config file. For me that is OK, as long it will
show weather the service is up or down - stop and start it, which is seems
to be doing just fine. The reason I say this is when I try and use the
Webmin modual to set user authentication to...

dumb question about SMB and Squid
is there by any chance a smb modual for squid? Squid is a proxy/cache
server used on unix systems that gives pretty complete logs, but only lists
clients by IP.
Is there anyway to easily tie this to a netbios name incase your
administrating a windows network and want names associated with places
instead of IP's that can change...

OT: Issue with Kernel lock on hardware
I have a user of my g4l project that has the kernel just stop after showing
myri10ge
I built a kernel without that modual, and it stopped with the one after that.
Have tried the debug option, but it shows no more info.
The syslinux menu includes a number of kernels with various released
versions. The kernels have the nics and disk controllers build in instead of
modules.
Is there something else available to isola...

Moyea FLV converter
...just installed the Demo for Moyea FLV converter and on program launch I get
loading skin file :"C:\Program Files\Moyea\FLV Video Converter Pro2\profilelist.skin" Error
I click OK and the demo runs but when I try to add a test project I get

Looking for some guidance in creating a new kernel..
...ting the new kernel gives a message of invalid or
corrupt image.
Are there options that would make this not work with the isolinux.
In building the new images, I have tried setting the P4 options, since
my systems are P4's with the hyperthreading. Other than that, I
selected not to include modual support since, I am assuming it is
setup to have everything built into the kernel, since the lib directory
on the CD is empty.
I've tried using the bzImage file and the vmlinux files, but they have
all come up as invalid.
The last time I did the build, I did the make mrproper to clean ou...

I have a project that uses syslinux to load the kernels from the CD to create
disk and/or partition images. The process works great, but as I have been
building newer kernel images with new disk and nic drivers, I have had users
run into problems.
Example: one users machine would fail at hotplug detection, creating a
kernel with this feature off

Nested MySQL Commands
Is it possible to have nested MySQL queries in extensions.conf?
Ie, perform a query, grab a value, and then jump to another location in the dialplan and do another query based on that original value. I'm having problems with the result and fetchid's and I'm not sure if it's even possible to do this or not.
