asterisk users - Feb 2008 - ztscan ports = zaptel channels ??

I'm getting this error on starting:

such device or address

This is a distant server.

ztscan shows:

Now are "ports" number the same as "channels" as
"slots" ( another
favorite).

That is, is port 1  = channel 1 and slot 1?

Yes, they are. However, 'UNCONFIGURED' means you haven't run ztcfg
yet,
so Asterisk cannot use the channels.
