[PATCH 0/2] v2v: -i vmx: Allow deviceType field to be completely omitted.
A colleague found some VMX files which omit the deviceType field.
This allows -i vmx mode to parse them.

help needed for freebsd
Hi,
I'm trying to run tinc 1.0.9 on freebsd 7.1-RELEASE-p4.
I tried:
Device=/dev/net/tun0
DeviceType=tun
I tried it without the device-line, i tried the other
devicetype-options, none of them work. With all of them I get the
following error:
30311: open("/dev/net/tun0",O_RDWR|O_NONBLOCK,05024360414) = 3 (0x3)

Dahdi, TE220 Device, and Asterisk Problem
Hello!
I am trying to configure my digium TE220 dual-span pci express card
with Dahdi. I seemed to have managed to set up the card with the

Examples request - tinc witn tun/utun mode=router
Hi Folks,
Does anyone have a set of config files handy, using tinc in routed/tun
mode (preferably DeviceType=utun)
I'm particularly interested to see what the tinc-up and tinc-down files
should look like when the vpn is not using tap mode.
I have this, from my tap (switch mode tinc) , but it doesn't work for
tun devices.
ifconfig $INTERFACE inet 10.10.101.2/24 up
If I run my tincd in os...

Systemd spends 6 min. to startup a host
Hi all,
I have a strange behavior with a CentOS7 host (fully patched). I have
configured nics as old style format: ifcfg- ... due to I need to use
openvswitch for my vms.
All works well, except when I reboot this server. Systemd spends 6
min. to startup this host!!! .. It stops with: "A start job is running
for LSB: Raise network ...".
Are not supposed that systemd startups

[root at host1 test]# brctl addif br0 test
can't add test to bridge br0: Invalid argument
I did some more research on bridges, and decided that maybe I needed to
specify the deviceType and interface in tinc.conf. So I changed my
tinc.confs:
host1 tinc.conf:
Name = host1
DeviceType = tun
Interface = tun0
ConnectTo = host2
host2 tinc.conf:
Name = host2
DeviceType = tun
Interface = tun0

Disallow binding via tinc
...lity of this all together, and want to configure tinc such that
on selected participants, there's no interface that programs could bind
to, so that only outgoing connections work.
How can I achieve that?
I imagine the easiest way would be to make it so that tinc creates no
tun device. Is the `DeviceType = raw_socket` option what I'm looking for?
Thanks!

Can Ping But No Web Interface
Aloha!
I am new to tinc and I like to figure out my own issues before asking but I
am not sure of my next step here. I am not sure if the problem is the VPN
configuration or in my network. I will try to be as through as possible.
I have two computers that are CentOS with the latest tinc from their
respective repositories.
Server A is behind a Sophos XG and Server B is behind a Ubiquiti Edge

" PMTU = 1436

in the config, " Address Family = ipv4" is likely not necessary, i would
recommend removing it.
" Device = /dev/net/tun" should not be used, unless tinc is having issues
locating the tun device.
however
" DeviceType = tun"
should be added, especialy as you have not declared an interface in the
config
eg: "Interface = tun6"
