[syslinux] A usb flash drive on which syslinux fails to install
Hi. I found out a weird noname usb flash drive, on which syslinux fails to install. After spending a lot of time trying to figure out what went wrong, I found out it was the fault of a faulty device. Apparently, it failed to write the loader correctly on the flash drive filesystem. I'd like to suggest that when syslinux writes files into the device, it shall verify the files were written successfully. Verification of the writing process was a must for old floppy disks, and is still quite beneficial for current devices, which are faster than those old floppies. Regards, Zvi Devir
