Multipathing with Sun 7310
...at all. We want them to
use multipathing from the very beginning, so /boot and / are already seen
by multipathd. Problem is, that the Sun 7310 has two storage heads which
run in active/passive mode. BUT the multipathd thinks, they are
active/active and therefor shows half the available paths as faulty
(multipath -ll below)
While this probably gives me the redundancy that is desired, it is a
relatively messy situation, since it will be unnecessary hard to detect
real path failures and the OS is complaining about "readsector0 checker
reports path is down" which gives me >40M/24h /...

faulty formatting of toLatex(sessionInfo())
..." part of toLatex(sessionInfo()). The fact that there
is no spaces between the various "locale" variables means that LaTeX
cannot easily find an appropriate place to break the lines, and some
will get printed off screen.
Below is the text output, and this .pdf document [1] shows the
(faulty) tex result. Could anyone suggest how to get around this
issue?
Thank you

With the above xattrs, the correct node will be used as source. Ideally,
good node must have trusted.afr.vmstore-client-1 as non-zero (IOWs it
blames the second brick, i.e client-1) and the bad node must have all
zeroes.

this failure), but anyway, I had data corruption, I had to disconnect
one brick and continue on a single one. On this brick still alive, all
the files have been modified, some renamed, some created.
Now, I need to reconnect the faulty brick. It still have data, but which
I want to discard. I don't want to reconnect it right away because I'm
not sure what's the state of the data on this brick for Gluster, I'd
just like to discard everything and sync from the running brick.

Geo-replication faulty
Hi all,
I setup my gluster cluster with geo-replication a couple of weeks ago
and everything worked fine!
Today I descovered that one of the master nodes geo-replication
status is faulty.
On master side: Distributed-replicatied 2 x (2 + 1) = 6
On slave side: Replicated 1 x (2 + 1) = 3
After checking logs I see that the master node has the following error:
OSError: Permission denied
Looking at the slave I have the following error:
remote operation failed. Path: <gfid:7c6a232d-...

I can guarantee Gluster will heal from the correct one to the bad. And in case of both having a non nul afr, I can manually (using setfattr) set the afr attribute to a null value before reconnecting the faulty brick, and it'll heal from the correct one.
And for files which have been deleted/renamed/created on the correct node while the bad one was offline, how are those handled ? For example, I have
/mnt/bricks/vmstore/prod/contis_sys.qcow2 ont btoh bricks. But, on the correct one, the file was del...

ANOVA in quantreg - faulty test for 'nesting'?
...anova(f1.qr,f2.qr) #Error!
#Error in anova.rqlist(object, ...) : Models aren't nested
Are the models in fact not nested? If they are nested, is there an easy
workaround I could use? Many thanks in anticipation.

ZFS problem after disk faliure
One of my disks in the zfs raidz2 pool developed some mechanical faliure and had to be replaced. It is possible that I may have swaped the sata cables during the exchange, but this has never been a problem before in my previous tests.
What concerns me is the output from zpool status for the c2d0 disk. The exchanged disk is now c3d0 but is no longer a part of the pool?!

write access to shares on PDC faulty (samba 2.2.6)
Hi,
I just configured samba (2.2.6) on a Linux box (2.4.18) to act as a PDC.
I can bring W2K PCs into the domain, and I can read the data on exported
shares.
However, when I try to write data, the following occurs:
1. trying to create directories (AKA folders :-) from the W2K GUI using
"New Folder":
