I am in the middle of converting a FreeBSD 8.0-Release system to OpenSolaris b130 In order to import my stuff, the only way i knew to make it work (from testing in virtualbox) was to do this: label a bunch of drives with an EFI label by using the opensolaris live cd, then use those drives in FreeBSD to create a zpool. This worked fine. (though i did get a warning in freebsd about GPT corruption, i assume this is due to differences in the efi label from what FreeBSD uses)>From here, i copied everything from my FreeBSD system to the newly madezpool. Then i exported the pool, installed opensolaris and imported the pool. All of this seems to have worked.....but here is what i find strange....some of the drives in the pool show slice and some don''t does this even matter? Can i fix it? here''s what i mean: pool: tank state: ONLINE status: The pool is formatted using an older on-disk format. The pool can still be used, but some features are unavailable. action: Upgrade the pool using ''zpool upgrade''. Once this is done, the pool will no longer be accessible on older software versions. scrub: none requested config: NAME STATE READ WRITE CKSUM tank ONLINE 0 0 0 raidz2-0 ONLINE 0 0 0 c5t4d0 ONLINE 0 0 0 c3t5d0p0 ONLINE 0 0 0 c4t4d0 ONLINE 0 0 0 c3t2d0p0 ONLINE 0 0 0 c4t6d0 ONLINE 0 0 0 c5t6d0p0 ONLINE 0 0 0 c4t7d0p0 ONLINE 0 0 0 errors: No known data errors Thanks for any help. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
