I am stubbornly attempting to get a "make world" of the mercurial xen 3.2 source to build all the way through on a x86_64 debian 40r2 box. I''ve almost made it, but the docs fail because of missing font ptmr7t. I installed a gazillion or so metafont font packages I found with synaptic, but as of yet, it still gets that error. Anyone know what it is about and if a simple install of something available from the debian repos will fix it? Do I perhaps need everything ghostscript I can find in the repos? Is it some alias for a postscript font? P.S. I started with a minimal network install of debian, and I''ve already found quite a list of things I needed to install which aren''t mentioned in the README :-). _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users

But I assume you''ll need addtional tex and ps2pdf packages to build the docs. While the whole bunch of packages is needed for building the docs, you should check to have bcc installed for building the hvm bios. cheers Stephan _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users

I had managed to install an alternate version of Tex "texlive", when I first searched for latex in synaptic, but now I see there are two versions available in the repo. Removing all the texlive stuff and installing all the tetex stuff made the manual build go much better. Now it wants "graphviz" to build the api docs, so I''ve got that installed and perhaps I''ll get all the way through this time :-). It hasn''t complained about missing bcc yet, perhaps make world doesn''t need to build any 16 bit object files? _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users
